Last week my sister, Chira, posted a picture of S’mores Cupcakes on her Facebook page. It was my nephew, Evan’s, 10th birthday, and Chira made them to bring to Evan’s classroom to celebrate. S’mores are one of my favorite desserts. I love the combo of graham crackers, melted chocolate and gooey marshmallow. They are such a staple dessert in the summer. These cupcakes are a nice alternative when you can’t toast the marshmallow outside over a fire. For these cupcakes, you have a chocolate cupcake topped with fluffy marshmallow frosting and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs. Chira also added a mini Hershey bar into the cupcakes which I thought was a really neat idea! I didn’t get a chance to taste them since my sister lives in Charleston, however, they are Evan approved! I’ll be sure to add them to my must-make dessert list.
