20 Satisfying Mother’s Day Recipes

Mother's Day is this Sunday, and I hope this weekend brings you beautiful weather, special memories and plenty of time to spend with your mom. It's been a long time since I actually got a chance to spend Mother's Day with my mom, so there isn't really a tradition we have. Since my sister's and [...]

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Who doesn't love a good chocolate chip cookie?! I've never had one I didn't like, but everyone has their favorite recipe, right? Mine is this one. A perfectly golden, crispy edge with a gooey, soft middle that just melts in your mouth. The trick I've learned is letting the dough rest overnight in the fridge. It really makes all the difference in the world. It's a little hard to wait that long especially if you're like me and want chocolate chip cookies right away, but it's totally worth it. I promise! The ingredients have a chance to blend together making the cookies more flavorful. Also I used mini chocolate chips, instead of the regular size. I think using mini chips gives you that chocolatey bite in every mouthful (which I love!). I've made a lot of chocolate chip cookie recipes each always a little different, but after making this one I finally found a recipe that's here to stay!

Sunday Night Cooking Series Recipes

Lance and I have been having so much fun doing our Sunday night cooking series! We've had some pretty amazing dinners, and I really want to share what I thought of each recipe with you guys. If your not familiar, Lance and I pick out a recipe to make on Sunday nights, either one we've made before or one that's new to us. We video the process of us prepping dinner, and then I post it on social media. We do this as a way to get more of the recipes we love out to everyone. Lance and I cook a lot, and I wish I could post every recipe on the blog, so the videos are another fun way to show more of the recipes we make.

Easy Swedish Meatballs

I used to think making dinner needed to be this extravagant meal which always included wayyy to many ingredients. I learned after a while that simple was becoming much easier and equally as delicious. I'm trying to improve my cooking skills especially since I didn't learn to cook growing up. I've become so interested in [...]

S’mores Cupcakes

Last week my sister, Chira, posted a picture of S'mores Cupcakes on her Facebook page. It was my nephew, Evan's, 10th birthday, and Chira made them to bring to Evan's classroom to celebrate. S'mores are one of my favorite desserts. I love the combo of graham crackers, melted chocolate and gooey marshmallow. They are such a staple dessert in the summer. These cupcakes are a nice alternative when you can't toast the marshmallow outside over a fire. For these cupcakes, you have a chocolate cupcake topped with fluffy marshmallow frosting and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs.

Joanna Gaines Lemon Pie

Joanna Gaines Lemon Pie recipe is by far one of the best recipes I've made to date. I came across it while skimming through the Magnolia magazine last spring, and I instantly knew this was the dessert I was making for Easter dinner. I'm so glad I did because this dish was a hit! It's light, refreshing and so easy to make. The rustic simplicity of this pie is stunning. There's something I love about recipes that are simple to make and require only a handful of ingredients. They're the recipes that come out unbelievably good, and the ones I make over and over again.

Rustic Ham and Asparagus Quiche

I never really knew what quiche was until a few years ago but now it's one of my favorite breakfasts. If your unsure what quiche is, like I was, it's a savory custard made with eggs, milk, veggies, meat and/or fresh herbs. Since I eat breakfast everyday at work, I'm always looking for something I [...]
