Fall is here, and I can’t believe we’ve made it through almost all of the seasons so far with Levi! Since Levi was born in January he will experience every holiday and season as his first this year. I keep telling Lance that I’m just so excited he will actually be able to eat Thanksgiving dinner with us! lol The weather has been getting chilly, and there’s tons of events celebrating the season. Our weekends during the month of September are jam packed. I’m trying to savor these moments of Levi’s firsts so much lately because before I know it he’ll be turning 1 in no time. We’ve got lots to do on our Fall Bucket List, and I can’t wait to experience all of Levi’s firsts’ with him this season.
Our Fall Bucket List
Camping Trips
We actually ended the summer/started the fall with a camping trip during Labor Day Weekend. We all had a really nice time, and Levi got to meet his Great Aunt and Uncle. Lance and I wanted to try to squeeze in another camping trip but with September being so busy we didn’t have a free weekend to go. We are already planning our camping trips for next year, so we’ll make sure to book a few in the fall!
Festival of Colors
Levi and I headed to this event last weekend. It was so much fun!! They had a cupcake contests where you could pick and choose cupcakes to eat for only $1 a cupcake and vote on the one you liked best. I really wanted to enter this contest, but I knew I wouldn’t have enough time this year to bake & decorate them. They also had a really nice craft vendor area. There were huge inflatables, a pumpkin painting section, band, food trucks, kids games and a kids comedy show. Levi and I spent 2 hours there, and I know next year it will be even longer since he’ll be old enough to go on the inflatables and paint a pumpkin. It was a really great way to spend an afternoon.
Hike Cobble Lookout
My co-worker told me about a local hike called Cobble Lookout, which is about a 1 mile hike. It has amazing views, and I think this will be the perfect family hike to go on when the leaves are at their peak. We haven’t hiked with Levi yet, so this would be his first hike!
ADK Harvest Fest
I’ve been wanting to go to this event for the past couple of years. The day consists of a farmers market, food trucks, demonstrations, kids activities, music, workshops, antique tractor display and more. I can’t wait to see what it’s all about!
Pumpkin Patch
Country Dreams Farm is not too far from us and they have wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, a petting zoo and a corn maze. I’ve seen pictures online, and it looks like a lot of fun! I can’t wait to bring Levi.
Apple Picking
I’ve never gone apple picking before, and I’m excited to do this as a family. I love making homemade applesauce in my crock pot, and I can’t wait for Levi to have some. Plus we’ll get apple cider donuts from the orchard, which is a must have for fall! I’m obsessed with them.
KVFD Remembrance Run 5K
I’ve never gone to this event, but Lance has and this year we are attending as a family. The event is to remember 9/11 and to honor your personal hero for the day.
