Lately it feels like Spring will never arrive. We’ve had 2 Nor’easter’s this month, the temperature has been in the negatives at night and there’s still a couple of feet of snow on the ground. I thought for sure we would get an early Spring but living in New York you never know what to expect!
On the positive side, this Marmot coat has been keeping me so warm lately. Lance actually got this jacket for me last year for my birthday, which is at the end of February. After wearing it for an entire season, I can say hands down this is one of the best purchases especially if you live in a colder climate like I do. I love the length especially when it’s windy. It keeps my whole body warm. Plus, the inside of the jacket and pockets are lined with fleece. I’ve also never had a jacket this color, steel onyx, which is so unique. Most of my jackets are black or green, so this color is perfect for offering variety.
WHAT I’M WEARING:
Jacket (On Sale!): Marmot (Also here and here) l Sweater: Bass (Similar) l Scarf: Coach (Similar) l
Jeans: Rag & Bone l Purse: Coach (Similar) l Boots (On Sale!): Sperry l Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
I wear this type of outfit daily in the winter – Sperry boots with a warm knit sweater. It’s cozy and casual, yet looks put together when I go into town. In the winter I find that accessories are twofold – keeping you warm and pulling an outfit together. Besides you can’t go wrong with too many cute gloves, hats and scarves! I have a whole basket full near our doorway. I’ve gotten good use out of my down jackets, warm knit sweaters and accessories this winter. I know I’ll continue to still wear them over the next few weeks especially the Sperry boots transitioning into Spring.
