WEDDING PLANNING
Lance and I are getting married on August 18 – just over 5 months away. (I can’t wait for our big day!) However, we still have so much planning to do! We’re having a very small wedding, with just our parents and siblings. Lance and I both wanted an intimate and personal ceremony and reception. Our ceremony will take place at a private residence in Keene, NY and our reception will be held at the Lake Placid Lodge. Since I was an event planner for 8 years, planning our wedding has been so much fun!
What’s next on our wedding planning to-do list:
– Getting our wedding bands
– Deciding what Lance will be wearing
– Choosing the music for the ceremony and reception
– Picking out the the reception table decor

MAKING THESE DIY TASSEL EARRINGS
I saw these cute earrings on a blog I look at often. She made them herself and shared the step by step tutorial. These type of earrings have been so popular, and the DIY version costs much less. I thought these would be perfect to make and wear for spring and summer. I also got an extra set to make for my sister, Emily. I’ll let you all know how they turn out!

WEARING THESE RAIN BOOTS
I just ordered these Sam Edelman rain boots from Nordstrom. Let’s just say my Hunter’s became my gardening boots last summer. lol! I desperately needed a new pair before ‘mud’ season arrives. I love the sleek matte look. Black is classic and these rain boots are slip
on and off, so easy for on the go style!
MAKING JOANNA GAINES’S LEMON PIE (AGAIN)
Last year Lance and I went over to his parents for Easter dinner. I ended up making Joanna Gaines’s Lemon Pie to bring. It was e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g! I saw the recipe when I was looking through the Magnolia magazine (which I love!). This Lemon Pie is so so good, and I’m definitely making it again this year. If you’re looking to make a dish for Easter dinner, you’re welcome! 😉
CHOOSING WHAT VEGGIES TO
GROW IN OUR GARDEN
Lance built 2 raised bed gardens for me last year. We planted a ton of veggies – tomatoes, string beans, radishes, carrots, lettuce, bell peppers, squash, and more. Although it was our first year trying out our new hobby and what felt like the never ending summer of rain – we (luckily) grew veggies! This year we are hoping to build a cedar fence around the garden, and add on another raised bed for herbs. If anyone has a green thumb, please let me know your gardening tips in the comments below!
Also this month, I’m looking forward to attending one of my best friends baby showers, trying out some recipes from The Pioneer Woman’s new cookbook that Lance’s mom got me for my birthday (we made the stuffed bell peppers the other night – amazing!), hosting book club, attending the ECAC Hockey Championship’s with Lance and our friends, and doing some spring cleaning around the house! Such a busy month ahead, but I’m looking forward to it!
What do you have planned this month?
